About Us
- CENIT complies with all the requirements of Ecuadorian law with regards to charities and is registered with the Ministry of Social Wellbeing (MIES). CENIT is situated in the south of Quito, near the Camal Market, well-positioned to help families in some of the most impoverished regions of Quito.
- However, due to the fact that girls tend to have a disproportionately large workload, we place special emphasis on helping them. Because of the variety of programs we have, we can confront the diverse problems of working children.
- We believe that in order to achieve positive change in the life of an individual, it is necessary to work with his or her family and the community. As a result, CENIT has helped children and family members regardless of gender for many years now and that is why we finally decided to change the organization’s name from ‘Centro de la Niña Trabajadora’ to ‘Centro Integral de la Niñez y Adolescencia’.

Children, who are between the ages of 4 and 18, all work to survive and do not receive adequate medical attention, nutrition or schooling. We have many children in need of this assistance and you can help today by becoming a “Padrino” to one of them through monthly financial support of $30 or $50.
